Shipments to Canada

If you are placing an order to be shipped to a Canadian address, we charge a flat $8 shipping rate rather than the $5 we charge for U.S. addresses. We haven't figured out a graceful way to do this with our paypal system, so we are adding, here, a button that will add a $3 surcharge to your order. Please make sure you click on it; if you don't, we will need to contact you again to request your full shipping amount ~ no big deal, but your order will be delayed and we may play phone tag or email tag and such.

Shipments to other countries

We ship to APO and FPO addresses the same as to U.S. addresses. For all other foreign shipments, we ask that you do your own simple research to find out what your order will cost to ship. Here's how: 

1. Add up the weights of the items you are ordering. (See table below.) 
2. Round up to the nearest pound. 
3. Go to http://ircalc.usps.gov/  to calculate shipping cost. For most countries the logical options will be either airmail parcel post, or economy (surface) parcel post. 
4. Round up to the next highest dollar. This is your total shipping cost. 
5. Subtract $5, because that amount is already automatically added to your order. 
6. Add the amount due to your shopping cart-- click on this button. 
   
   
   
   
   This will add a $1 "foreign shipping surcharge" to your cart. 
7. Then, adjust this amount by changing the quantity in your paypal shopping cart. For instance, if you change the quantity to 19, you will be charged a total of $24 for shipping -- $5 plus $19. 
8. Paypal will give you the opportunity to write a message/special instructions. Please tell us which form of shipping you have paid for --probably airmail parcel post or economy (surface) parcel post. We will prepare your package accordingly. 

We rely on you to come up with an accurate shipping cost. If the post office charges more than the amount you paid for shipping, we won't be able to ship your order at that time; instead, we'll request that you pay the remainder of the shipping cost plus a $6 service charge. (If it turns out that the information on the USPS site was inaccurate, we'll waive the $6 fee.) 

Thank you! We're sorry to ask you to do this research yourself, but we don't receive many foreign orders, so it's not worth our time to create a rate chart.
